Chris is the Founding Principal and the Managing Member of Form Partners LLC, a real estate development, investment, and management company in Honolulu, Hawaii, and has over 22 years of commercial real estate development and investment experience.
Chris is responsible for all of Form Partners’ investment, development, and operational activities. Prior to Form Partners, Chris founded U.S. Pacific Development LLC; a Honolulu-based Real Estate Development Company. Under Chris’ leadership, Form Partners and U.S. Pacific Development combined have developed over 400 resort, urban residential, and commercial condominiums in the state of Hawaii, with a total development cost of more than $200 million. Form Partners has also entitled property allowing for an additional $850 million of development costs in the state of Hawaii.
Furthermore, between April 2019 – May 2021, as the Senior Director of Planning and Development at Kamehameha Schools’ (KS) Commercial Real Estate Division (CRED), Chris was responsible for leading and managing all the Planning and Development team’s work within CRED’s portfolio of assets (currently valued at approximately $3.5 billion with a 10-year development pipeline of approximately $900 Million).
Chris is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), serving as the Hawaii District Chair in 2017 and 2018, and is a member of the Urban Development Mixed-Use (green flight) national product council.
Previously as a member of National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) Chris served as a board member and as the President of the Honolulu chapter in 2007. Chris is also an alumnus of the Pacific Century Fellowship program, class of 2007, and a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Citizens’ Academy, class of 2008.
Chris’ charitable efforts include serving on the board of directors for Hale Kipa (House of Friendliness), where he acts as the co-chair for both the annual giving committee and the facilities committee. Hale Kipa is a fully accredited, non-profit social services agency annually serving over 2,000 of Hawaii’s at-risk youth and their families.
Raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Orange County California, Chris graduated from Corona Del Mar H.S. and received his B.A. in Economics from Colorado State University, which he attended on a full athletic scholarship. An avid sportsman, Chris has completed three Iron-man triathlons, several marathons, and the Molokai to Oahu outrigger canoe paddling race. Chris also enjoys beach volleyball and spending time with his wife Simley, and their three children, Jack, Logan, and Ella.
